Denver
Botanic Gardens is truly a garden lover's delight. You'll be
captivated by its beauty no matter what season of the year you
visit. More than 15,000 species of plants are on display in the 45
distinct garden areas that stretch across 23 acres. Highlights
include the rock garden, tropical conservatory, Japanese garden, Monet's
garden, Children's Secret Path, Romantic garden, elaborate container
gardens and sparkling water features.
Denver
Botanic Gardens is host to several special events annually, such as summer
concerts, a book and plant sale, and Blossoms of Light, when the grounds
are aglow with over 500,000 holiday lights during the month of
December. Educational endeavors include numerous classes and
lectures on a wide range of garden-related topics throughout the
year. The library provides a large collection of books, magazines,
and other materials that visitors can use on site and members may
checkout. In addition, several garden societies and clubs sponsor
exhibits, plant sales and lectures that are open to the
public.
New features and ongoing renovations are an incentive to visit
often. Colorado gardeners are very fortunate to have this gardening
treasure in our midst. For more information please visit www.botanicgardens.org.
